  1. Wild Man,

Through the tears I’m writing this. Sir Edmund actually reached Mt. Everest the very day I was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, at the Lutheran Deaconess Hospital. I went back to my home at 4344 14th Ave. South after a day or so at the hospital. Until this video, I didn’t know the day of Edmund’s accomplishment. JFK and Bob Hope, Larry Stuart, and my cousin Diane were also born on May 29th, but none of them in 1953.
Do you need my address to send a gift card? Let me know. My guess is that you would want to do that.

    • Duane,
I cannot even attempt to imagine what this moment must be like for you. And the fact that I in a small way contributed to this is humbling (I feel so humble when I do something great.). I think that in some way Sir Edmund is connected to your destiny. If he had not recently passed I would have arranged for you to meet. You should send me your address because I am very thoughtful and will probably send you a gift card, and some religious literature.

Incidentally I did a Google search for “May 29th 1953” and it came up with all sorts of things about Sir Edmund…but nothing about your birth.

Wild Man on his journey. This picture is a metaphor for life.

Anything could be around that bend. Unfortunatley for Wild Man it was more miles of endless forest and not the Tom Petty concert he was looking for.
